Have you called the person responsible for billing in your old company? This happened to me and I spoke to the Head Accountant and was able to get a letter out of her explaining the situation. If that doesn't work, go to the Accountant and person and ask until you get it.Don't give up and explain the dire consequences you are facing as a result of the negative information on your credit report-explain that they will not be able to attract future hires with this kind of treatment-if it became know. Be aggressive.
