It depends on the bank. They won't tell you up front but you can open a small account $50 with them and wait two weeks, if nothing happens your account is fine. Also bigger banks are better, such as Bank of America. Smaller banks are more wary. They will send you a letter after a week saying they have closed your account and are holding all checks.
