Requesting Credit Reports

I have not seen my credit reports in a very long time and would like to order them by snail mail. Is it mandatory that you send them copies of your Drivers License, utilitiy bills showing address with your request or would a notarized document with the information listed on it be sufficient proof of who I am?

I am having financial problems and know that my credit reports are very bad. I have not applied for credit of any type since at least 1998, but some company has left several messages in the last week wanting to give me a loan. I do not want a loan, do not qualify for a loan and can not pay for a loan, if this company has looked at my credit reports they would have to have rocks in their heads if they still want to give me a loan! Is it possible that this company has reviewed my report and can they do this without my permission? If they can, is there some way I can request the credit reporting agency to not allow this? I do not want to be considered for anymore credit at this time and I know that each time someone looks at my report it only hurts me. Any advice you can give is appreciated, thanks. TJay
