Negotiating with Collection Agency RE: Charge-off

Does anyone have any information of recommendations for how to negoiate with a collectoin agency to get them to delete the whole account from my credit report?

I have a few Charge offs that are 5 years old and I would like to pay them off now and clear up my credit at the same time.

The debt amounts are relly little like $300 to $400. For me, I see it as a win-win situation if they delete it. I get my credit clear and they get their money. Just, how do I tell them that and get paper assurances that they will and can delete the information off of the reports?
