Reporting Deliquencies after Profit & Loss Charge Off?

My question is: Can credit card companies keep reporting deliquencies on a credit report after an account becomes a Profit & Loss Charge Off? For example: An account is charged off 9/97, but the Date Reported and date of Last Deliquency dates are 03/2001. Thanks in advance
