The reason is simple, check the company name and executives with www.opensecrets.org for polital contributions, to whom, and how much. Corporate America has deep pockets to grease their way, right over our backs. We as individules can't really influence, all we have to barter with is one vote each, and then many of us for one reason or another will get disenfranchised. Money is a sure thing and money, my friend, can buy a lot in DC....but I'm not bitter.

I personally did the happy happy joy joy dance throughout the living room when Phil Grahamm(sp?)(Senator from Texas) retired! He did a lot to remove the regulations that protected the consumer from the banking/financial industry. He WAS NOT our friend and his dirty work will be felt by all of us for a long time! The bankruptcy bill that has been stalled in congress for what, 3 years now, was some more of his doing.
