I do not let him have a debit card or check book, I do all the finances and print up a sheet of what bills we owe every month and that seems to send it home---how much we need to pay the mortgage, insurance, phone, cable, ect...kids do slow them down and he is at home most of the time. On paydays he goes to Hooter's with the guys (I sometimes go along) or plays paintball or frisbee golf or regular golf (he is 28 years old). He works A LOT of hours, more than 50-60 a week so he is not home a lot-that helps. I am a home body and he is getting to be that way. We do have 2 checking accounts...1 for bills and one for OTHER, maybe that would help. My husband likes the toys like every other guy--the big flat screen TV, surround sound system, PS2 and XBox..but we have NO credit cards and things we buy we pay cash.
