If I were to tell my husband he can't have his own account and demand that I pay all the bills I would be thrown out of the house. I don't understand how to get through to him, I have no problem telling someone that I can't afford to do something, yet he has this big problem with all that. He doesn't go out much, he has a regular 9 -5 job but doesn't bring home a lot of money hence why I have to work full time too. He has his own account that his pay check goes into, and a big portion of that goes to our joint checking account, and I have my own account. He complains that he doesn't have any money left and I ask him why and he says it is because it goes to gas, and food etc. I tried to get through to his thick head that now that we have more money, he can save more of what he has... and tells me he has gotten better, well I will tell him he got better when one day he pulls a few hundred dollars from a drawer and goes and puts on a credit card to begin paying the damn thing off. He still although he says he isn't has this thing about "his money" , he pays more in bills than I did, he pays more for that... whatever... our money is our money. I sometimes think I have to children on my hands.. my 2 1/2 year old son and a 3 year old husband.
With him around nothing is ever going to get paid because there is always something, and I give in to him because I avoid the argument. I think I will be in debt until I die.Okay I am done my vent now... thanks. I needed that.
