I have Collection Agency calling me for CC that have been charged off (defaulted 4 yrs ago).... I really can't pay them off and everything I've read it wouldn't help my credit only hurt it. I have a large check coming to me - which I plan on paying off my car and a CC I have in good standings the rest will go into a 401K (seeing it wouldn't help my credit report to pay off the others) the promble is I have to deposit the check into my account for at least 5 business days before I can with draw it out, will the Crediter find out in that short of time a large deposit was made? I OPT out about 2 or 3 weeks ago...... PLEASE HELP Thank you
