The wedding has to cost this much because (as the father of the bride explained to me) in a muslim country every relative has to be invited otherwise it will constitute disrespect and a feud for generations.
There are 500 relatives. So 70K is a modest amount for this mob, trust me, I counted five times.

I understand I may sound like a stupid 18 year old kid, but all that I described must be done for me to marry this girl.
