True...most marriages end up in divorce is due to money! my husband and I bring home $4000 a month with our jobs and he sometimes gets bonuses. We have 4 TV's in our home-WHY? We have 1 CAR! and need another badly. He has more shoes than any woman I know of-Why? He loves shoes. He can SHOP too...and not just in the electronics department. I DO put my foot down, I do the bills because I need to know where the money is and is going. I am organized and he is fly by the seat of your pants most of the time. He buys Starbucks every morning...I hate coffee. He is an Executive Chef...can I tell you how many cookbooks he owns?? I am going to go buy a bookcase JUST for his cookbooks this weekend! We have a lot of things but I do yell and scream if he even THINKS about big purchases. Some weeks our money lasts, other weeks it just flies out of our pockets. I hate it when I can't tell you where it went.
Here it is...if you show him on paper totals...we make $$$ and ALl the bills cost $$$ and that does not include Gas and food and entertainment! MOST men settle down when their kids are born, mine "inhereted" mine with marriage and he would buy for her before he would buy for me! I hate money, it is the root of all evil and causes more damage than good most of the time. I had an acquaintance who won the lottery-he wishes he never did. All of the relatives and people he had not seen in years came out of the woodwork, Uncle Sam takes his chunk and it never made him any happier. It didn't give him a beautiful wife, just a divorce with huge alimony payments. It goes faster than you can spend it too. Money is not everything and you can't take it when you go!
