Is there a site where I can find out where a CA is licensed/bonded?

In my state of Indiana, a CA must be licensed and bonded to collect from Indiana residents. I have checked a few places and could not find Midland as being licensed/bonded in my state, but yet they are suing me, but using Indiana lawyers (does that make it ok then? Can they sue me w/o actually being licensed and bonded themselves if the attorneys they use are?)

I want to make sure they are in fact NOT licensed and bonded in IN, any suggestions of where to look will be helpful and appreciated.

I found them when searching in Calif. and under their name it said: Jurisdiction: Kansas--anyone know what that means?

If by chance they are NOT licensed and bonded in my state will that be a good defense in the suit they have against me?
