I suspect that they did not record it. They would have to make it very clear and get your permission. I have been in offices that recorded and there are strict rules- often using an outside party to verify that you gave permission.

What state ?

I suggest that you get a lawyer to do this for you. It is easy to make a mistake. If you are past sol, they will have to pay your lawyer fees.
