sweety, it is a control thing. power. to fix issues like this..and if you have no others like i have or "still nervous" has..counseling is great. with abuse...no couples counseling at all. too dangerous. with mine, and i suspect hers..its control and power. money means power. not just to men..but a lot of people. i dont have a answer, but try to show him sometime in a calm, non adverserial way...and that i cant relay to you here. lol. its a deep issue..and a lot i just let go of. i pay the bills out of his paycheck and see no more of it. its all i finally decided to do cause "discussing" isnt happening. i also heard the same..and i feel pity for him not seeing the kids and grands are all we truly have in this life that is priceless. should someone decide to change that for a new house and big car..i pity them. good luck , sweety. it is a sore subject in a marriage..go about it carefully. it isnt the money per se..it is what it represents to him. hugs****
