Each state is different on exemptions and percentiles for exemptions. You will have to check with your state on that. I don't think they can attach federal grant money though, but I could be wrong, they can take part of unemployment and workman's comp for child support. I think Why Chat can tell you where you can get that info. We are lucky, if you can call it that, our house is worth about what we still own on it, no equity. I guess they could slap a lean on it, but they would have to wait until it is paid off to do anything, first come first serve, and that is 25 years they will have that lean.
