Bank of America/ Sherman Acq. ?

I live in NC and Sherman Acq. doesn't have date opened on my account just a last activity of 05/2003. Which isn't even right because I have never made payments through them, only before the debt was "account transferred or sold: Paid charge off." and owned by Bank of America. Has anyone else
been scared silly be this company? I am trying to get the link to work for newcomers, but it just isn't working. Thanks
