I didn't blow you off, lightening hit my modem Friday morning and I had to get a new one then get the hubby to install it.

We never sent any letters, validation or anything else. We didn't receive any calls from the supposed OC, no one, until Midland started calling. Every time they sent us a letter for the first 3 or 4 months, we threw them away unopened. We thought it was a debt recovery place, like Genius or Debt Solutions (Midland Credit Management, see what I mean?). When we finally opened one, it was way past the 30 days they give you to dispute. So, like an idiot, I called them and tried to explain the situation. MISTAKE! The guy laughed at me, called me a liar, stupid, and a cheat, then informed me that even if what I said was true, "we still have you by the balls" his words exactly. I got mad and told him to sue me. That was the week between Christmas and New Years. They filed suit on May 27th. Guess we looked good to them or something. Well, now they have to validate the debt and prove they have the right to bring the case, which wasn't going to happen any other way. Since this isn't ours, they are going to have a problem validating this debt.
