One of the credit cards told me about consumer credit counceling at 1-800-640-2227. I haven't tried that one but I called different companies and none seemed to be able to help me in my situation. For the most part they wanted me to spend more monthly than what I am currently spending. I'm thinking for my situation that I'm going to try to negotiate a couple of cards until I get it to a balance I can work with.

Stay away from the companies that ask for alot of upfront money too or who say they consolidate when they really mean to do debt reduction with no guarantees.
