A lot of CA attorneys are NOT prepared to defend if you show up in court. Good possibility they have absolutely NOTHING to prove that this is your account, and that the charges are correct and legal for your state. They count on you not showing up, and so that they get a default. There is a lot of psychology in debt collection. Most people don't understand that they do have legal rights and that the burden of proof is on the CA. Show up with your attorney, and you will most likely be able to get the case dismissed.
