Just make sure the CA doesn't send information to the credit bureaus. I have something from AMO Recoveries for $1 on my report. I have called every office they have listed and not a soul can tell me where it is from. They can not find my name or social security number in their records. I have no idea where it could be from and $1 is ridiculous. None the less, it is showing up as a collection/attorney item on my report. I have reported this to Equifax and they claim they can not remove the information. I am wondering where to go with this next. It is hurting my score and I would like to purchase another home in about 6 months. Good luck with your situation, and if anyone has advice for me, I would appreciate it.
