First, they have to wait 30 days in case you want to : Ask for a new trial or File a notice of appeal with the court. After 30 days, they can send you questions that ask for information including job, bank accounts, etc. If you are head of household they can not garnish in Florida. Wage garnishment: they can get a continuing writ of garnishment which means they can garnish each check until judgment is satisfied. They have to file with the court, notice you= you will have 30 days to dispute. You can always go to court and ask for hardship exemption. OTher garnishments: bank accounts they must get a new one each time. You might want to close the accounts for now and operate with cash. Nothing will happen for at least 30 days.
