I should add, there is a lot of psychology in debt collection. CAs routinely lie and threaten. It is the way they do business. They will say whatever it takes to scare you into sending them money. BEST ADVICE IS TO IGNORE THEM. The phone is their tool, take it away from them. Change your phone number. If you change phone companies and get a PO Box, it will look like you moved. Get a new phone number. Otherwise, watch caller ID and let the machine pick up. You just don't need the stress these people will cause you. They don't care if you are disabled. They don't care if you can pay for your medications.......or sell your first born.....if you get my drift. Just do yourself a favor and don't talk to them.
