Public Record Alert -- CFC Financial (Asset Acceptance)

I have noticed on this board (and a few others) that several people have received alerts regarding CFC Financial (Asset Acceptance) being listed as a Public Record.

I have checked with my local courthouse and found that nothing has been filed with them. When I pulled my credit report I see that the tradeline seems to be showing as a recent collection account.

I'm wondering if others are experiencing the same thing.

What can we do about this?
