you can deal with the OC until its charged off. do NOT tell them anything about anything!!!!! im not even sure you would owe them. send them a death cert and see what happens, they can file on the estate. if there is one. my word...they are trying to screw you. do not tell them NOTHING on what you have or dont. far as they know..you have nothing and will never have nothing. or pay them off and forget it, if your able to. if i could..that is what i will do. pay em off and say kiss my a$$. lol. charge offs are really bad..you dont want them CO'ed unless you have no choice, it will ruin your credit big time for several years. if you can, pay them if your liable. if not..send a death cert and say no estate. imho***:)
