That was a good read, but something in a lot of these articles that I have read are leading me to still think that what that consolidation company did was misleading. Again I will explain, they did not tell my husband that the first payment to them would go into escrow and would never go to the credit card company, it was stated as such on their agreement but in much different terms than what the average consumer could possibly understand, and then of course them telling him that it would not damage his credit rating, yet it did. According to this article under "what is a deceptive practice" it says "the practice involves a representation, omission, act, or practice that is likely to mislead" ... does that refer to the above situation? And then at the end it says "the enforcement agencies do not need to prove that consumers were in fact misled or deceived. They merely have to establish that a reasonable consumer is likely to be deceived by the presentation. Then the damages begin." I personally am determined to figure out how to go thru in getting damages that I feel are duely deserved from this fiasco. Does this information in this article make a valid case? Thanks
