Stopped paying a CA

I made several payments to a CA (IMC Financial) on a charge-off account for Chase from 1998. IMC bought the account in 2000. I stopped paying the CA after finding this site and learing my rights. They sent me a nasty letter saying I admitted to the debt since I faithfully made several payments to them, and that it was going to be turned over to their inhouse attorney. That was back in April and haven't heard from them since.
I live in PA and the charge off was in 1998. Do you think I will hear from them again?
