I know that settling with a JDB is a waste of money in most instances. But I have a Sherman debt and have been sued, the debt is recent. I borrowed a lot of money in past to settle with other OC's and such and dont want to waste that money and going bankrupt. It would make me really feel as if I pissed money down toliet. I have filed an answer and have gotten a settlement letter from Sherman. My question is WHAT should I demand if I do settle. I will want in writing that the case will be dismissed, the balance will be zero, the debt will never be sold again. what else should I ask for? Should I have them delete their tl? How would a future employer or mortgage broker know that this was settled, if that tl is removed? I know the OC since they sold the debt already is out of the picture, but what is best way to get through this miserable situation. Thanks.
