Anyone can sue anybody for anything.

You don't have to file bk just because someone is bothering you. You need to assess your situation and decide what your best course of action might be.

You can tell them not to contact you at work. If this is a ca, tell them to only contact you at home by written communication.

If you act as if you don't care, they may go away.

If you want to know if they sue, check out the courthouse records by the name of the company that is currently holding the debt. Some sue, lots don't.
