Was it notarized? Is there any case or Court information? If not, then it is an ILLEGAL collection tactic.

I also do not believe that this is a legally collectible account, otherwise it would not be in the slimy paws of Sherman.

It may be that:
a- You are beyond SOL without realizing it.
b- It is legally uncollectible for some other reason, (i.e. a purported deficiency on an illegal repo)
c- You may not be the actual debtor, (i.e. authorized user etc.)
