They cabn't scare you if you know your rights. Don't tell them your dad is in a nursing home because that house is protected as a homestead. JUST DON'T TALK TO THEM. Your best bet is to ignore them. They can't touch your dad legally, and you know that.........they will stop calling if you just stop talking to them. Change the phone number, watch caller ID, let the machine pick up. Whatever works for you. I think I have advised you before to protect his banking info. Is income is exempt from judgement, but it can be a mess to straighten out if they get a judge to freeze his account.
