I posted a message yeasterday about asset accept and a judgment against me. I just now saw all of the reponses. Thank you. I didnt ever have time to contact asset accept yesterday...thank goodness. I am in South Carolina. The judgment occurred in 2001 on a debt that was from 1998 (when I was in college) My concern now is....now that Farm Credit wont give my fiance the loan if the land is in both of out names...I want to "sell" or give him my part of the land. The deed was taken to the deed office and recorded (in both of our names) on Thursday 7/8. But prior to that no title search was done. Will I be able to sing the land over to him?
