Just received a letter from these goons on a debt that was charged off in 1996. The guy on the phone said his file showed it was charged off in 1996, but that he had been told that it wasn't illegal to attempt to collect a debt that they knew was barred by the Statute of Limitations. I sent them a cease and desist letter.
