It is sold.
However, because there is SOME honor among these thieves,and because you have sent LEGAL notice of the account being legally uncollectible,it is bundled in with other totally uncollectible debts, those that are deceased or BK,and is usually sold to a data company, instead of to another "active" bottom feeder for continued collection.
