Hi all,
I have searched the archives but haven't found anything similar to my situations. You all seem so "in the know" so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

Issue #1:

I had a judgement filed in 10/1997 for $96. I have absolutely no idea when the credit account actually became delinquent but obviously some months before the judgement was recorded. My question --- is it worth it to try to do anything about this? Won't it drop from my credit report in October of this year anyway? The judgement was filed in Illinois but I now live in Kentucky so it would not be easy for me to have to do anything in person.

Issue #2:

In 1998 I started incurring a $50 monthly bill from a hospital. I probably paid them a total of $300 or so. I would guess the account became delinquent in 1999. This monthly bill continued to accrue but I was not able to pay anymore on the account. The account was sent to a collection agency and the earliest entry on my TU was 6/2001. This collection agency has EIGHT TL's on my TU each with a different account number. This just doesn't seem right. At the very least it should be one account with the balance owing increasing. This debt also occured in Illinois. Any suggestions?

Issue #3

My TU shows an entry for the gas company in northern Illinois. Based on the two year history, I show current from June, 2000 til July, 2001 then all of a sudden in August of 2001 it shows me 90 days past due! It goes back to current again in Sept. 2001 and remains that way until I closed the account (with a $0 balance) when we moved. I'm not sure what step I should take next. Is this hurting my credit score? It is listed as an installment account.

I am really trying (as my handle suggests) to raise my score. I have six revolving accounts and a car loan with over two years of perfect payment history yet my score continues to wallow in the mid to upper 500's based on e-loan. I have three entries that I think are due to age off my reports within the next 6-8 months. Their DOLA range from end of '97 to early '98. Since I don't anticipate applying for new credit in that time frame I am inclined to just let them go. Is this a mistake? I am hoping to get a mortgage next summer or fall.

Sorry this got so long! TIA for your advice!!
