Yes, they can attempt to collect it forever. They just can't take any legal action or sue you for it.

Note: A violation of the Texas collection laws are per se violations of the Texas Deceptive Practices Act. That is a crimindal act, albeit a misdameanor(sp?) but nonetheless one.

The MN sec'y of state maintains a list of all pseudo names (collectors don't use their real names) and anyone collecting there has given the sec'y of state authorization for service of process. Send a copy to the SOS for forwarding to the individual collector -- they'll CRxxP!!!
