Really weird story! I've gone to school in Kansas for several years (perm. address in Missouri) and have been at the same address since 1995. I recently recieved a letter from Ogden Collection Agency about a check that was returned from a Walmart in Kansas that was dated 1997 for $187. I looked up Ogden's phone number in Kansas, could not find it. I finally found Ogden (North Carolina?) on the east coast, called them, they said "this is a different Ogden you need to call the one in Kansas." I cannot track down the debt. I'd recieved letters for returned checks before and settled them promptly but never one that was almost 8 years old. That was the first I'd heard about it too. I'd been at the same school for all 8 of those years so there shouldn't have been any problem finding me. The only option I have left is to call the local bad checks department and ask them about the debt. I am more or less looking for what to expect when I call the DA's office. I'm out of school. I just recieved a great job in Kansas and I'm getting ready to change my residency to there also. I don't want to run in to any complications that would hamper my move or my new job. What can I expect when I call the DA's office? and Does SOL change or renew once I move to Kansas? Thanks for your help! Murdock
