Who is Associates? Finance Company. This sounds like a written contract, which means the SOL is 6 years. When was the last time you paid Associates before the account became deliquent. Did the insurance pay anything? The SOL does not change just because they bought the account.
Look at your credit report, look for the charged off date, then look for the first 30 days late prior to charge off date. That is the date that started the SOL. (and it does not change)

When in 98 did you have your accident. You could be passed the SOL.

Have you read Disneygirl's posts on Midland. Thety sued her, she defended. It was good. If you look in the archives, she explained what happened for her in court with them.

First determine the SOL. Is Associates an individual or joint account. Makes a big difference in Pa.
