please. do we look DEAF? texas is community property state. and there is much more to settling with a CA than "get it in writing". if you must foul this board...be accurate. we will catch you every time you post something wrong, anyways. charge offs are the law, when a debt is not paid on for 180 days a credit company must count it as a charge off on their taxes and stop the fees, not the interest,,,but the overlimit and late fees. has nothing to do with them "giving up hope a debt will be paid"..rollin eyes*... then it hits CAs, like the lovely example above, and the abuse to frighten you into paying starts. how old are these debts? i am fixin to look up texas debt laws cause im curious on this who is responsible when someone dies, spouse thing.
