Karen your wasting your time trying to reason with ANY debt collectors its a lost cause .. here's a fact thats pretty stunning , YES they can totally relate to your situation becouse in fact according to newsweek magazine a summer 2003 edition the average debt collector that calls people ( NOT in house OC collectors but CA's that either buy or are assigned the account ) their more likely to have bad or below average credit than the actual people that their attempting to collect from .. personally i never really thought about it b4 but after reading the article it kinda makes sense .. debt collection is an awful type of job its very stressful with a very high turnover ratio .. its a job that mostly is paid on commission were if your not making the "quota" than bam your out the door & a new debt collector is born .. most ca's are loners with only friends being co workers OR other debt collectors in their field , gotta be a tough life all that meanness & rejection day after day .. they lie & boy do they lie but thats how they make their money by scaring people w threats ( empty threats ) day after day & thats why they are a lonely bunch becouse the lies tend to become easier & easier for them & the avg person not in their line of work basically see's thru the lies so becomes a huge turnoff in general life , kinda sad actually .. only my opinion but debt collection is a job for a kid 16 - 23 after school to try to make some after school money but its now become infested full of losers in the 30's 40 's and yes even older , its scam telemarketing & thats sad but like i say only my opinion .. well goodluck , kel ..........
