Debt melt down program

Hi! Need help with something I'm confused.. About 1 year ago I joined this program to help me settle my debt for 1 card for 8.000 Of course they promised me no more problems from anyone they would handle all, well I did still get the harassing phone calls and letters, well anyway after reading all the post here I called them and pulled out of the program, now they tell me that since I.ve done this I will more than likley be at risk of being sued could this be true or another one of these scare tatics. I must admit it did scare me a little, but from what I.ve read I could be sued even in the melt down program True!!! So I guess what I want to know is should I stay in the program or pull out? Any Advice would be very helpfull. Thank You.......
