Sorry, I do NOT agree with this collector guy or whatever he is. If you got into the debt thing knowingly and you really never tried, then you really have no business doing it. But if you are like me and my hubby who had perfect A+ credit and could get whatever we wanted to before the debt thing, then I think it's ok to try again. The only reason we fell into the debt hole was because he was laid off so many times. I think anyone who wants to get credit again needs to do it at a minimum. Get a CC and request that the limit is like $500-$1000 and that's it. And keep only one card for emergencies! This is what I intend to do eventually. But everyone needs to be able to teach themselves how to pay with cash. Good Luck to you!! :)
