You know, not everyone here has earned their bad credit, but they have mistakes on their CRs. Don't you read the newspaper? CRs are flawed, and they flaws come from somewhere. I have 3 accounts on my 3 CRs that aren't mine or the husband's. There is an address on all of them that neither of us has ever lived at, and we are in the middle of a court action for one of them now and expect actions on the rest any day. We had a 15 year history of good credit before this happened and we refused to pay debts that aren't ours just to keep it that way. We will take the hit, we will go to court, we will win, and then WE WILL SUE!

CAs sue after only verifing that there is something to attach, not that the accounts they are sueing on are correct, that they have the right person, or even if it is within the time limit allowed by law. You can not demand that only one side follows the law while the other slides through the holes. For every debtor trying to skate the law, there are at least 10 CAs that lie, cheat, and try to steal. They reage accounts to change the start of SOL, they change account numbers in order to confuse debtors, all in the hope of getting something, money, an admission out of the debtor, they can use against them. The biggest difference between the morals of the debtor and the morals of the CA is the debtor is almost always a vicitm of circumstance and the CA is deliberate, born out of greed and in search of self-enrichment. You have to convince yourself that all debtors are cheats and thieves to justify in your own mind that what you are doing is right. What I don't understand is why you feel the need to come here to justify your actions. We know what you are and we know what you do. Could it be you are feeling guilty and are looking for atonement? If that is the case, you might get better results in church.
