The first thing that comes to mind... how old are these debts. When was the last time you paid the original creditors? What state are you in? The next thing that needs to be said is that these debt consolidation companies, cause more problems than they solve. You are more likely to be sued by your creditors if you go the debt consolidation route. If you scroll down, I think there is a post on debt consolidation with a lot of info.
