My questions pertains to an outstanding debt that exists between myself and Circut City. Today we received a phone call from an attorney stating that his firm would be filing an lawsuit against us on tommorrow to collect the debt.

This debt is approximately seven years old and isin the amount of $3500. The initial balance was approximately $1500. What is the staue of limitations on the time frame for filing a law suit to settle a debt? Is this a legitimate threat. We have not received in prior notice or written documentation supporting these supposed actions. We simply received a phone call from an attorney stating they would file by t 3:00p.m tommorrow if we do not settle.

We would like your assistance in helping us clearly understand the power or the true intent of the law firm in question. How should we handle the above stated situation?
