You can rebuild credit a few ways. Getting a secured credit card with a small credit limit is ideal. You tender, say $500.00, to the credit card company and they extend you that much credit. You then let them hold the deposit and make your payments/pay off your balance at the end of the month. This secures them, while allowing you to rebuild a good history. Once you've been doing that for about a year or so, you may be able to get a regular credit card. Expect to pay a higher interest rate, though.
