I go through the same thing every few weeks. Since the accounts keep going from collector to collector it starts all over again. My biggest fear hit this past winter when two claimed to have SUED me and rattled off all kinds of info into my answering machine. From the point my life seemed like it was about to fall apart. Well 7+ months later there are no law suits (so far) and nothing is filed or has been served.

I empty my bank account when I can but sometimes you gotta leave a grand or two to cover upcomming bills. Nothing you can do but keep an eye on things and hope they wont hit you when you are down.

Just try to be sure about all the details of your situation, watch your credit report, check your local court houses now and then and of course pay close attention to the tactics of the CA's that bother you.

No telling if they will do anything but most of us either never get sued or when we do we seem to prevail most of the time.
