The FCRA was ammended in 1996 and went into effect in 1997. For debts with a DOLA before 12/97, the SOL would run for 7 years ONLY from the date of last activity. Anything AFTER 12/97, the reporting period is 7 years PLUS 180 days from the delinquency that immediately preceeded the charge-off.
