i agree if it is causing her this much stress she shouldnt speak to him....however ignoring the calls isnt the answer to avoid them... i personally think the best way is the letter telling them to stop calling....most collectors who cannot reach someone at there home/work..will simply start calling a debtors neighbors or relatives...there are sites oca's can use to get lists of possible relatives and even associates....and call them to reach a debtor...however if you put them on notice by law they can no longer call on the telephone....i have oftn wondered in my short spn of being a collector why MORE people simply didnt send that letter
