Wolpoff & Abramson again (sorry)

I just received an updated copy of my credit report which shows Wolpoff & Abramson obtained information from my report for the purpose of an acct review or other business transaction with me in April 2004. It says the inquiry will not be displayed to anyone else or compute in my score. I do not have any business with Wolpoff & Abramson. However, I did have an MBNA card once (surprise, surprise.) I settled the MBNA account with Portfolio Recovery Associates in April 2004. I have a letter from Portfolio which reflects it is for an account from MBNA America Bank. It says:

This letter confirms our receipt of your check for $xx.xx to settle your account. The credit reporting agencies have been advised that your account is now settled. Please retain this letter as proof your account has been settled.

I'm sure I can get my old representative at Portfolio to tell me how much I paid (total) because I discarded some of the quik collect receipts after I got the letter saying the account is settled.

My question is: Can this Wolpoff & Abramson come after me. The only people I can think of them working for is MBNA after reading past postings. I was going to call them until I read some of the notes here. What should I do? They have not contacted me. I have moved since the time they got my report. I thought I read in past postings that they sometimes took accts to the NAF without contacting people and then took the accts to court. What can I do to protect myself at this point. Thanks.
