Yes, there are those of us who do try to pay our
debts. When you are paying your debt, on time,
your reward can be having your interest rate doubled; leading to the next months interest pushing you over the limit, therefore you have
fees mounting. At some point you lose all hold,
still sending what you can, and before you know
it late fees are added. The calls start coming,
it takes four or five hundred to catch up, and next month you aren't breaking even again. The
company doesn't want to work with you in any way,
and finally you are just ready to give up. People in this world have problems, I was laid off, the first job I could find pays 800 a month less than I was making. I am still trying to pay on this card, and I am criticized by collectors the same as if I wasn't even trying.

Granted, there are those who make no attempt, but
not all of share our reasons, whether good or bad.
